Environmental Rediscoveries

The Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies received a CZM grant for their Environmental Rediscoveries Program. The program, which includes a field trip for inner-city youth onboard the Sloop Momentum, teaches students about the local environment and the proper stewardship of resources. Students also learn how to sail and navigate on Presque Isle Bay, how to collect and examine water and sediment samples, and what creatures inhabit the bay.
